Video Blast From
The Past The video of the 1990 TOSRV is now available on DVD. Produced
by Mary Cheryl Hall of the Missoula Bicycle Program (in 1990) and taped and
produced by David Curran this 27 minute video is $14.99 plus $4.41 for
shipping. Fifty percent of the purchase amount will go to the Friends of the
Missoula Bicycle Program. The original was shot on VHS and so the quality is
not as good as videos made today, but the price has been reduced from the
original $32.95. So if you were in the original 1990 TOSRV and missed out on a
copy, or would just like one on DVD contact:

Hwy 93 between Missoula & Florence
There is a new Hwy 93 corridor study
between
Missoula
&
Florence
. Idea is to look at needs of this section of road for the next 20
years. One change that's been talked about is widening the road to 6 lanes.
Friends of the Bitterroot Trail are advocating for a separated bike/ped path.
We want to make sure the needs of touring cyclists are considered too. If you
are interested, please make comments through their web site
www.mdt.mt.gov/pubinvolve/us93corridor/.
Bikers Needed for Gardens The
Missoula Urban Demonstration Project (MUD) is looking for
volunteers to promote its Coffee to Compost Program. Over 26,000 gallons of
coffee grounds are collected annually from local bakeries and delis with MUD's
biketrailer . These grounds are used to make compost to nourish the community
gardens. Volunteering can be as simple as making one run per week. Hours and
schedules are flexible. For more info go to:
