Adventure Cycling Meeting Room

Progressive Dinner will be held on Sunday, October 28th, beginning at noon with appetizers at Shirl Braxton’s, soup at Lech Szumera’s, bread and salad at Tom Roy’s, main course, volunteer needed and dessert, Margie Gilder’s.  Contact Lech at 543-4889 for assigning of contributions.

 

Hill Climb 

was held on October 7 and 50 participants rode.  Four new records were set.

 

BWAM   Jim Sayer discussed the Bike Walk Alliance for Missoula, a non-profit, member-driven organization created to improve the safety, health and enjoyment of the Five Valley area by promoting and enhancing bicycling and walking for everyday transportation and recreation.  A fund raising dinner, chili feed, will be held on November 10, 5:30 pm, at the Missoula Children’s Theatre.  Projects in the works will be discussed and suggestions and involvement are sought.

Biking for Bratwurst, a bicycle tour slide show of southern Germany and Austria, was presented by Steve Loken.  He described the extensive bike, pedestrian, and train transportation systems and discussed the architecture, land use and energy goals of the area.
