Treasurer’s Report

Balance in account is $4631. One TOSRV bill is outstanding.

Election of Officers

Tim Marchant was elected TOSRV West 2008 Director.

Discussion

Deb Adams is hoping to find a new data base for MOBI website. Julie Huck and Colleen Hunter offered to help keep website updated.

February Newsletter will include 2008 TOSRV prep Bike Rides. Open dates will be noted. Shirl Braxton and Wayne Kruse are coordinating the ride list. Specifying requirements for ride leaders will be researched and updated.
Susan and Tom Roy offered to check and correct mileages for the Bike Rides list.

TOSRV West committee met on Dec 5 and Dec 19 and will meet again on Jan 9. TOSRV date was set for May 17 and 18. Topics included containing costs, encouraging the sense of a group event and decreasing ride options and total mileage.

Lech Szumera suggested MOBI provide riders as volunteers for the Missoula Marathon on July 13. Lech will investigate.

Possible programs for future MOBI meetings were suggested, including an African bike tour, and Katie Mikelson’s trip to New Zealand. MOBI President will be encouraged to give a bike repair demonstation and later an account of his Japan tour.

MOBI meeting notices will be sent to the Missoulian, Missoula Independent and KUFM as public service announcements.

Julie Huck is serving on a committee of community members and organizations promoting a pedestrian/cycling trail between Missoula and Lolo and will report on developments.
