Treasurer’s Report

Discussion

TOSRV West contributions have not been distributed to Potomac 4H Club or to Seeley Lake Senior Citizens. A final financial report will be requested from the Treasurer. Hopefully TOSRV W Director can attend MOBI meeting October 14 to finalize donations, discuss survey and begin planning for TOSRV W 2009. It was noted the traditional third weekend in May will coincide with U of M graduation.

Election of MOBI officers will take place in October. Several present officers have held office for two years. Bylaws require a two year term limit. Do bylaws need to be revised?

The 32^nd Western Montana Hill Climb Championships will be held Sunday, October 5, 2008. Greg Siple is organizing the event. Volunteers were solicited to help with registration at Big Sky Cyclery and manning the event.

MOBI was not notified in sufficient time to help with their offer of assistance for the Missoula Marathon in 2008. The offer will be repeated for 2009.

Lech Szumera is organizing the Progressive Dinner for October 26, 2008.

Chuck Pengilly offered to help input and update MOBI website.

Five Valleys Land Trust is seeking donations to secure continuation of Route of Hiawatha from Taft to St. Regis. Mention could be made in MOBI newsletter.

Richard Bayless, Professor at the U of M College of Technology, provided an informative presentation on Glacial Lake Missoula.
