Discussion

Planning for the December Holiday Potluck and Meeting was discussed.  Aaron Teasdale will present a program on his tours in Bolivia or on portions of the Great Divide northern sections.  Chuck will check with Wayne Kruse for the task of organizing and assume the duties if necessary.  The gathering is set for 6:30 p.m. and Tom, Sue, Julie, Chuck and Wayne will meet at 6:00 for set up and decorating.  A short business meeting will be held to introduce and vote on a slate of directors, address membership dues changes, promote group rides, solicit ride leaders, and promote TOSRV West.

Bylaws changes were debated for final posting and subsequent vote.  The board of directors was expanded to a maximum of eleven.  The date for nomination of directors will be moved to November.  Final wording for trip participation will be decided after investigation of insurance policy.  Julie will post notice of proposed changes.

The discussion of trip participation resulted in a suggestion by Julie to address in the near future guidelines for trip leaders; ride list, responsibilities, liability.

TOSRV West – 2009 dates have been posted on MOBI’s website.  Tim will list dates on regional club calendars.  The application needs to be updated and a date set for the opening of registration.  An earlier contribution to Hellgate Radio Club was understood to be a 2007 late contribution and included a contribution for 2008.  Thank you letters with $500 contributions will be sent to Seeley Lake Senior Center and Potomac 4H.  Tim will discuss expectations and minimum amounts of contributions necessary to provide services for future tours.  Credit card payment through Adventure Cycling may not be feasible for 2009.  A temporary merchant account will be investigated.

Nominations for board of directors will be posted in December newsletter and voted on during business meeting at December Potluck and Meeting.  Nominations included, Lech Szumera, Chuck Pengilly, Julie Huck, Wayne Kruse, Wayne Vandeberg, Tom Roy, Sue Roy, Tim Marchant, Katie Mikelsons, Patty McIntire and Tom McCabe.
