Treasurer’s Report

$8005.  Balance in club account.

 

Old Business

Phil Stauffer presented information on “Hike and Bike to the Moon” a Bike, Walk, Bus Week activity on Saturday,  April 28.  A special work project will take place from 12 to 4 pm.  There will be a Homestead Historical Tour.  Car pooling is available for non-cyclists.  An Ice Cream Social is planned for 4:00 pm.  Call 728 9269 for information or check nmcdc.org.

 

New Business

Julie Huck discussed the upcoming 22nd Annual Georgetown Lake Loop.  By reservation only with a $10. deposit by April 25th.  130 miles .  Call Julie for information 549 2226.

 

TOSRV West promotion was offered as a possibility with the Helena Bike Club and the Governor’s Cup.  A proposed post card mailing promoting Adventure Cycling, MOBI and the Governor’s Cup would involve providing our mailing list and possibly donating $100 for costs.  Julie will discuss this with Rick Bush of the Helena Bike Club and agree if the mailing would occur soon enough to attract TOSRV West participants.

 

The monthly meeting in May will be held on May, 15 and will be a Stuffing TOSRV West Envelopes Party!

 

Lech requested sponsorship donations from various businesses.  REI will not be able to consider financial support this year but may be able to provide merchandise as prizes.  A grant may be possible from REI for community functions having to do with recreation.  The due date for application is February and this will be explored for 2008.

 

Camp Make a Dream will send out 200 TOSRV West applications to their mailing list.

 

A TOSRV West planning meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 18 at 5:30 pm.

 

Program

Geraldine Carter provided an interesting and informative slide show recounting her adventures bike touring in Myanmar.  Temples, smiling people, muddy mountain roads and great stories entertained an overflow crowd.  Ride lists and TOSRV West applications were offered to the guests in the audience and Wayne hawked items from the TOSRV West store
