Saturday, March 21, 10:00am, Bitterroot Bramble (54+ mi.) Meet at the Park and Ride lot 3 miles south of Lolo. Ride the bike path to Bell Crossing. Turn east, cross the river and take Willoughby Lane into the rolling hills of the East Side. Enjoy stunning views of the Bitterroots and meander down to Stevi for lunch at a local restaurant. Saturday, May 2, 9:00am, Bearmouth- Helmville (74 mi.) Carpool from Eastgate Center at 8:00am. Ride starts at 9:00am. Turn left off I 90 Exit 138 and park where the frontage road begins. At 9:00 am ride the frontage road into Drummond. After restroom and snacks at the Conoco, head out of Drummond on Highway 271 for a mile and a half before turning north under the freeway. 271 climbs moderately for a few miles then granny gears for 3/4 of a mile just before the summit. Sunday, May 3, 11:00am, Two Creek One Canyon Ride (45 mi.) This Saturday's May 3 ride isn't long on total miles, but what we lack in distance will be made up with some solid hill climbs. After meeting at McCormick Park we'll venture up O'Brien Creek for our first hill. Then we'll make our way over to Miller Creek Rd. to the Upper Miller valley and ascend Trails End Rd, a fun cycling route up and over to the Bitterroot River. After climbing back over Trails End we will easy pedal over to Pattee Creek (by way of 39th) and our final climb up Pattee Canyon Rd. to pavement's end. We'll bolt down Pattee and back to McCormick. *overnight ride* Saturday-Sunday, May 9-10, 29th annual Georgetown Lake Loop (110 mi.) Starting in Deer Lodge, we'll ride to Anaconda and up to Georgetown Lake. Riding down into Philipsburg, where we spend the night, we'll explore the candy store and other funky shops before dinner. Saturday, May 9, 10:30am, The Lake County De-Velo-pment (33 mi.) Carpool from McCormick Park at 9:00am for a 10:30am start at Ronan High School. Ride Round Butte Road to Back Road then northward towards Polson. Back Road intersects Kerr Dam Road south of Polson. Continue on Kerr Dam Road and eventually come to 7th Ave West. *overnight ride* Saturday-Sunday, May 23-24, Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes A 71 mile scenic paved trail from Mullan to Plummer. We will bicycle 56 miles from Mullan to Harrison on Saturday, stay in a B&B Saturday night, and bike back on Sunday. A subgroup may continue to Plummer and return to Harrison on Saturday. Carpool from McCormick Park in Missoula at 9:00am. and leave from the Super 1 (Park and Ride - northwest corner) in Stevensville at 10:00am. Climb to quiet paved roads on both sides of the Bitterroot with valley wide vistas. The foothills provide a roller coaster of challenging ascents and fun downhills with less than 10 miles on the bike path. Stop for lunch at the Bitterroot Brewery.
